LISTEN MORE THAN ONCE

LISTEN MORE THAN ONCE

yo

Hey there PB Wolf, we had time to listen to this more than once. Awesome!
– Writer Person

Seven Seals record, as everything else by James Pants, is artsy and well… odd. But what else would we expect if the album is made while reading mystical books and the book of Revelations, and inspired by being in the mood to start a cult?
The thing that strikes us immediately is the obvious conflict in every single track. It’s either an uneasy battle of instruments for the leading role or a conflict of a few genres of music trying to sway a song into a certain direction. Somehow these conflicts create a very unique musical atmosphere that just… flows. They do keep you on your toes though, and make you listen to every single piece a couple of times and with great attention.

Check out for yourself. The record is out on Stones Throw.
And here’s a little sample of what you might hear:

P.S. The artwork for the album is exquisite and obviously has a lot of meaning:
