Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2011

The Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is annual event that takes over the city of Amsterdam for 5 days in 52 different venues citywide. What’s more, it attracts over 130,000 festival goers from all corners of the globe.

As ADE is the world’s biggest club festival for electronic music, we have decided to help make your life a little easier by sieving through all the “David Guetta” bullshit to give you our top picks for this years event:

Wednesday, 19th October:

PLANET-E 20TH ANNIVERSARY
To help celebrate Carl Craig’s imprint Planet-E turning 20, Hessel Audio has joined forces to take over Melkweg for what should turn out to be a very special evening, featuring Carl Craig, Moritz von Oswald & Francesco Tristano, Caribou, Kenny Larkin, Kyle Hall, Motor City Drum Ensemble, Pearson Sound (Ramadanman), Ben UFO, Pangaea, and Dimitri Kneppers.

Thursday, 20th October:

An Other Night With State-X New Forms: DJ Spinn & Rashad
Although technically this is not an ADE party, it is still our pick!  ‘Juke’ music all night long from the pioneers of the genre DJ Spinn & Rashad, and the best part about it… it’s FREE.

Friday, 21st October:

COLORS x 3024
Colors will be kicking-off ADE weekend with a bang! Holland’s very own Martyn will be presenting ‘Ghost People’, and supporting him at Trouw will be Julio Bashmore, Addison Groove, and Cinnaman. So lets get down!

Saturday, 22nd October:

SONIC WARFARE – R&S NIGHT
Sonic Warfare is definitely hosting our favorite party of this year’s ADE.  The showcase of Belgium record label R&S, which features the likes of Lone, Blawan, The Chain, Pariah, and Vondelpark. So to win yourself a pair of tickets to the show be sure to enter our ticket contest.

Sunday, 23rd October:

OSTGUT TON
What better way to end ADE than with the legendary Berlin record label, Ostgut Ton. For those of you not in the know, check out their Boiler Room take-over.
